Emily VanCamp

Emily Irene VanCamp is a Canadian actress who has been praised for her leading roles in numerous television series and for her enthralling acting in films. She is popular on both Canadian and American television. Emily's love for acting first began at the age of 12 when she was visiting her sister Katie who was filming one of Katie's films. When she realized her love for acting, she began to take classes in acting and going to auditions. After a few successful commercials she was quickly cast in the Canadian kids' horror TV series Are You afraid of the Dark? One scene in which she appeared without speaking any words. When she was 15 years old, she got her big break after she became part of the WB series Glory Days. Emily's performances caught the attention from Dawson's creek's Greg Berlanti, who then invited her to his TV show Everwood. Emily was also a ballerina and photographer was praised by Teen magazine as one the most talented actresses under the age of 20. Maxim ranked her 51st on their Hot 100 of 2014.
